Sometimes you promise your audience you’ll do one thing and then life gets in the way and you totally forget you even said it. The example this week, is promising to upload NortHERn’s hot and humid each week. This author apologies profusely for not doing it the last few weeks but you know, life.
The fourth episode of NortHERn is live, and each week hosts Molly Upstill and Sarah Falls bring to the mic their finest HOT and HUMID of the week.
In this weekly segment, they’ll share what they’re loving (HOT) and something that hasn’t quite made the cut (HUMID) and we’ll share them on the Top Half each week (going forward, we promise).

1000 Hour Lash and Brow Dye Kit is a go to for Molly year-round.
Molly’s HOT – 1000 Hours Lash & Brow Dye Kit
If you’re not needing to see a regular brow technician or just need a quick touch up to get you through the next fortnight, this product is Molly’s go-to for her brows.
“You can get it from literally anywhere”, she said.
“I get mine from Chemist Warehouse but they sell it on Amazon and everywhere. It’s the easiest and best way, save yourself $60 at the eyebrow lady and takes all of 10 mins.”

Molly’s pool back in the days when there was less algae.
Molly’s HUMID – Pool issues (in October c’mon)
Raging at my ear infection last week, ongoing issues with our pool IN OCTOBER, IN DARWIN has left me frustrated and lost for words after months of battling a green pool.
“I don’t know if it’s the build up or the worst pool in the world but we have had so many issues with our pool,” she said.
“We have done everything, we’ve replaced the sand in the sand filter, put up a shade cloth over the pool, bought a robot vacuum and get it tested every other day because it’s green after three days.”
Stay tuned for a pool update next week…

2026 Darwin Cup Carnival Ambassador Paige Munson was dressed by Lazy Susan for the Bet365 Palmerston Sprint.
Sarah’s HOT – Content creator Lazy Susan
Sarah came in hot this week with a creator out of East Arnhem called Susy Alderman (find her at Lazysusanstudio)
Having recently blown up online after her towel wrap dress went viral, and also for her creative efforts sewing old towels and tea towels into upcycled fashion, Susy is a real North Australian making waves across the world.
She also worked closely with Molly over the Darwin Cup Carnival, making a dress for the 2026 Darwin Turf Club ambassador Paige Munson out of recycled Territory tea towels.

Sarah wishes this was a margarita.
Sarah’s HUMID – kids entertainment opening at 10am
Every parent’s nightmare is being invited somewhere that opens after 10am, and Sarah made no secret of it this week. Find her a parent who hasn’t lived half a day before 10am and try and explain why opening after 10am is the right thing to do. She’ll wait…
