The first episode of NortHERn is live, and in part of that episode, hosts Molly Upstill and Sarah Falls bought to the mic their first (and finest) HOT and HUMID segment.

In this weekly segment, they’ll share what they’re loving (HOT) and something that hasn’t quite made the cut (HUMID) and we’ll share them on the Top Half each week.

Molly’s HOT – Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base+

“This was recommended to me by Sev, a Darwin-based makeup artist,” Molly said.

“At this time of year if I am wearing foundation I like Face base because it’s a really sticky primer and just glues everything to your face,” Molly said.

“I don’t find I need it in the dry season but I have an MC event over the wet season, this product is great.”

Sarah’s HOT – micro shorts (specifically these from Elce Swim)

“Tall girls – if you’re in a mini dress… get a pair of micro shorts so if it does blow up or you need to bend down, it’s ok and you’re sorted,” Sarah said.

Our deepest apologies Hailey Beiber but this product didn’t cut it. We weren’t sure if the humidity already did the heavy lifting or if the price increased our expectations, but this is sadly on the no buy list.

“Potentially because we are so glowy up here anyway,” Sarah said.

“My expectation of the product was…illuminating, deer in the headlights radiating off my face, but it wasn’t. I just expected more.”

No hate Hailey, but we’ll leave this one to the southerners.
