Kyle Sandilands and wife Tegan list luxury Port Douglas home for a cool $2.5m.
Shock jock Kyle Sandilands has listed his North Queensland luxury pad for a cool $2.5 million.
The Mowbray home, just 12kms from holiday hotspot Port Douglas, is a resort-style pad featuring three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Listing agent Barbara Wolveridge of Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty – Port Douglas said some of Australia’s most wealthy own homes in the area, which had been frequented by global celebrities for decades.
“Port Douglas has always appealed to celebrities because of the laid back lifestyle of people up here,” she said.
“People aren’t too phased if there is a celebrity in town, as this is not an uncommon occurrence in such a beautiful part of the world.”

The wet edge pool cascades into the horizon.
Having used the home frequently over the pandemic, Mr Sandlilands sited looking for a new home closer to Sydney as the reason for selling.
The 2.56 acre property boasts breathtaking panoramic views and cooling breezes thanks to its elevated positioning, as well as an open-plan design with a gourmet kitchen and spacious dining area.
No home in the north is complete without outdoor dining, and this home is no different with an expansive deck, wet-edge pool and pizza oven.
Up to six cars can be housed in the expansive double-height shed and the accommodation is private, with the master suite with an ensuite, guest bedroom with an ensuite, and a third bedroom with guest bathroom.
The home is accessible via a private driveway with two additional covered parking bays.
“This home is truly fit for a king,” Ms Wolveridge said.

The open-plan living area seamlessly connects to a gourmet kitchen, featuring a large island bench that will delight even the most discerning chefs.
North Queensland has long been a favourite hideaway with celebrities, with Kate Hudson having spent six months in the area with her husband and child, Matthew McConaughey played volleyball on Four Mile beach for six months and Ed Sheeran has visited Port Douglas numerous times, always ensuring a visit to the well-respected Salsa Bar & Grill and spending time on the Great Barrier Reef.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom spent three months in the area, and Bill Clinton has visited multiple times.
“They really enjoy not being bothered and wonder freely through our community like normal people,” Ms Wolveridge said.
